At Couleur Course, the stickers are made of high-quality polyamide adhesive vinyl specially designed for vehicles, resistant to UV rays, bad weather and repeated washing, but can be removed without leaving a mark on the vehicle's paint. All our stickers are made in our workshop in France. Whether you have purchased strips or smaller stickers, the techniques are the same.
Your sticker is made up of 3 elements: the adhesive, the transfer film, and the protective paper.
For small stickers we recommend using the "dry" application technique and for large stickers the "wet" application technique.
Ideal installation temperature (environment and support): 20°. Do not apply the sticker below 15°.
DRY INSTALLATION:
Very important : the surface that receives your sticker must be perfectly degreased, clean and smooth.
-
Important : Turn the sticker over on a table, and press firmly on the back of the sticker with a marouflage block (or plastic squeegee) in order to re-stick the sticker to the transfer film if bubbles have formed during transport.
2. Carefully separate the sticker from the protective paper.
3. Position the sticker in the chosen location.
4. Scrape the sticker with a plastic squeegee, starting from the center and working out to the edges.
5. Carefully remove the transfer film by pulling at a 180° angle.
WET INSTALLATION:
Very important : the surface that receives your sticker must be perfectly degreased, clean and smooth.
-
Important : Turn the sticker over on a table, and press firmly on the back of the sticker with a smoothing block (or plastic squeegee) in order to reattach the sticker to the transfer film if bubbles have formed during transport.
2. Carefully separate the sticker from the protective paper.
3. Spray slightly soapy water on the adhesive part of your sticker .
4. Spray the soapy water on the vehicle as well.
5. Apply the sticker to the vehicle, slide it and position it very precisely. At this stage, the sticker is not yet stuck, it can slide to be repositioned.
6. Once the sticker is positioned in the desired location, use a plastic squeegee to remove the water from the center to the edges.
7. Wait at least 30 minutes or more in cool or humid weather before removing the transfer film by sliding it flat at a 180° angle.
